Truevestments.com began as a resource hub for entrepreneurs, offering consultation, marketing and web development. In 2026 we became an independent insurance brokerage, because protecting what you've built is the foundation for growing it.
Our story
Our team brings more than a decade of business development, marketing and consultative sales experience. We saw the same thing again and again: owners juggling coverage from one place, marketing from another and advice from a third, with nobody looking at the whole picture.
So we put it under one roof. Insurance sits at the center. Around it, the Resource Hub gives clients the tools and introductions to keep moving forward.
Meet the team
Dennis Kelly Jr.
Dennis Kelly Jr. has built his career on one skill: understanding what a customer actually needs, then building the solution around it. For more than a decade, he has helped brands grow, including Nestlé, Vitamin Water, General Motors, Allstate and Harper, an AI-native insurance brokerage. At Harper, he helped drive the growth that earned the company a spot in Y Combinator. Few business owners ever see that journey from the inside, and it sharpened everything he’d learned about helping companies scale.
In February 2026, Dennis and Co-Founder Jamel Doughty launched Truevestments.com, an independent brokerage serving businesses and the families behind them. Dennis is a licensed property and casualty producer. He pairs that coverage with the growth lessons he learned building and scaling, offering business development resources and strategic guidance that help clients grow, not just stay protected.
His promise to clients is simple: one broker who sees the whole picture and closes the gaps between the business and the family behind it. Born and raised in Queens, New York, where his career began, Dennis brought that experience south to Atlanta, Georgia, where Truevestments.com is headquartered today.
Jamel Doughty
Jamel Doughty turns complicated work into software people can actually use. Over more than 15 years building on the web, he has worked with organizations including Meta, EY and Lazard. Today he designs and engineers products from the ground up: the workflow, the user experience and the systems behind them. His focus is putting AI to work where it saves people time, while keeping people in control of the decisions that matter.
At Truevestments.com, Jamel leads technology. He builds the systems behind the agency’s client experience, so service moves faster and nothing slips through the cracks.
Both raised in New York City, Dennis and Jamel launched Truevestments.com on a shared belief. Business owners deserve a broker who responds quickly, sees the whole picture and uses technology to make protection simpler. Jamel lives in North Carolina with his wife and their two children.
